Scientific progress is the reason humans have been able to colonize most
parts of the planet and even outer space. Science can be interesting and
fun, but also destructive and terrifying.

Exciting science
I can probably be called a science junkie, almost everything interests me. When
I'm
watching TV shows that are about some kind of scientific topic the time flies by for me.
I get totally fascinated when scientists talk about what they have discovered and explains
how they found out. Physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, geology,
math, meteorology, and many words that I can't even pronounce, its all
extremely interesting.

Our world
There are many things that are threatening our little blue planet and all of us that
inhabitants it. We are ourselves the cause of many of the dangers that threaten our
existence. Pollution and excessive use of the natural resources, and just not
understanding the homogenous balance that our world is in has led us to damaging our
planet so much that it might not recover. Lately it has
occurred to many of us that we are about to commit collective suicide by the way we
live. Even though we are considered the most intelligent species on the planet, we are
arguably quite ignorant. But there is hope. Many scientists are in the process of trying
to figure out what we can do to turn around the development we have started.
All we can do is pray they figure out what to do, and that our scientists are as smart as we
all hope they are.
