My town
Tromsø city
I have basically all of my family and many of my friends in Tromsø. That might not be such a chock since it is where i was born and raised. Even though i do not live there, it feels like I'm going home when i go back to visit my family and friends. Tromsø is a pretty small town, with some 60000 inhabitants. Even though it's such a small town, it has the second largest town area in the world.

Our town
Tromsø is the largest city in northern Norway, and is a center for administration, trade, research and education in the northern most part of our country. The town is known as The port to the Arctic, because it has been the starting point for people traveling into the polar region for ages. It is also known as Paris of the north because of it's pulsating night life, and because in the old days the latest fashion was imported directly from Paris. This made Tromsø citizens among the most fashionable in the country. On account of its status as "capital" of the north the population grows at a quick pace. Many people choose to settle there, these being students that falls in love with the town and decide to remain, and others that find it exotic and exciting. Most people come from Troms county and from the northern part of the country. But many also comes from the rest of the country and from other countries. As a matter of fact, people from more than 200 different nations live in our little town. That is quite impressive!
